Welcome to our living experiment in lifestyle design. For the past month, we have been experimenting with an intermittent fasting diet, tweaked to match our habits, and fortuitously made much easier than similar experiments reported on the Web. From what I’ve read so far, most of those who have tried an intermittent fasting diet seem to either confuse it with caloric restriction (which it is NOT), or they create an imbalanced caloric intake, with more food one day than the next (i.e. breakfast and lunch one day, supper the next). Our method overcomes those problems.

If you have no idea what intermittent fasting is, read the ‘About’ page using the link just below our picture in the right-hand column. In future posts I’ll explain more about the studies done so far, both in animal models and with humans, that convinced us to try this diet. I’m not sure ‘diet’ is the correct term, it is more of a lifestyle choice that controls not what, but when, we eat. The next couple posts will server as our introductions, and then we will start posting about the diet and how it works for us.
